Finished Afghan: From Jan Eaton's 200 Crochet Blocks
Manly-Man Afghan
I finished this afghan in 2011 for my son-in-law. He doesn't use it because I made it out of Red Heart yarn and it isn't soft. I think I'll take it back when I make him another one that is softer. I loved how this came out and it was fun to make!
It is lovely. Have you tried washing it. Redheart softens a bit when washed. I think it is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful. I think he will love it and use it. And then please show us the red one.

You did a fabulous job :) I have a couple of Jan Eaton's books - I love her publications!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great Eileen! I love black and whites and grays. Did he try washing it and put in the dryer with a dryer sheet? That really softens mine. I have a black and white Wool-eater style blanket I did few years ago. I need to find that and get it on my blog!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried the Red Heart "Love" yarn? I like it very much and it is cheaper at Walmart! Cheaper by 1.04 a skein vs Joann's!
ReplyDeleteIt looks very catchy, what a great design you have done!
ReplyDeleteIt's really nice :)

Very pretty. I'm not sure I'd make the son-in-law another one -- ingrate! My son kind of did the same thing to me. He didn't criticize his blanket, but he didn't take it either. Grrr. My daughter, however, loves her sampler blanket I made with all different squares from Jan Eaton's book.
