Summer Shawl Finished and New Baby Popcorn Started

Tah Dah! I finished my Summer Shawl...this worked up so fast and is so pretty...

Here is a close up shot of the stitch...

Moving on to crochet for my first grand baby that is on its way... This is Lion Brand Baby Soft yarn and it is a dream to work with. I am using an F crochet hook and the yarn is so fine and delicate. It is Sport Weight in Pastel Yellow. We still don't know if its a boy or girl and I just can't wait that long to start crocheting for him/her.

Here is a close up of the popcorn stitch...it is very easy and works up fast.
More projects coming soon...

Thank you all for your kind comments on all of my projects. I do appreciate them so much. They keep me motivated to continue crocheting, taking pics and blogging. Hugs to you all!!

Happy Crocheting!

  10. Dear Eileen. Your summer shawl and blanket are wonderful. And also they are very hard motifs to make. Really you are so good at crochet. I like both of them...

  16. Don't you just LOVE that popcorn stitch? That's my "no brainer" stitch when I'm sitting in bed getting ready to go to sleep. I have a blanket of this stitch started in a wonderful linen color...it's growing quite large...I think I'm on the final skein. I'm trying to decide if I want to put a border on it. You're having a grand baby? How fabulous! You'll have gobs of fun making for that little one! The yellow yarn you used...same as what I used to make the dress that I posted yesterday. It IS lovely, indeed! I actually also used an ivory color (used two strands held together) to add a little something different on that dress...but the picture didn't show it off very well. Thank you for your recent visits and comments (and Pins too, I think)! I've been following you for a very long time and just haven't commented very often. That is about to change! =) Hugs, Annette
