Purple Plum Cowl/Scarf-Tah Dah!

Purple Plum Cowl/Scarf-Tah Dah!

This was so easy and I don't know why I waited so long to finally give this Time Out Cowl pattern a try. I know a lot of you made it last year and I had it in my queue at Ravelry forever. The yarn turned out to be a nice surprise. It is Bernat Satin Solids in Plum Mist and I loved. So easy to work with, no splitting, it has a slight shimmer to it and the color is very rich. I plan to make lots of these for Christmas gifts this year. The girls at work will love it!

Thank you for all your kind comments you left me on my last post. It's nice to know you are there for me!

Three Crochet Tah Dahs!!!

Three Crochet Tah Dahs!!

I am so excited to show you  three finished items for the new Grand Daughter...That's right

It's a GIRL!!

I know...I am so excited! How fun is that??

Anyway, soon every thing will be Pink of course but first I had to finish my neutral projects that I had already bought yarn for.

My first project is a Baby Cocoon...The yarn says it is light Mint Green but it looks blue to me. Oh well, it will be snuggly and warm for Emma Marie...Love her little name don't you?

Also, by the way, I am on vacation this week doing my Spring Cleaning...can't you tell with all the items I have finished?? Lol!
This little thing measures 24" in Diameter and 21" long. This only took me a day to finish. Super easy and fun to do.
I have organized some of my yarn in a three drawer plastic container on wheels. It was full of old scrapbooking stuff I haven't used for years...So I sorted it by trash, keep, and give away and I managed to empty the drawers to put some of my yarn in. Only some of it...I think I would need about 4 or 5 more of those for all of my yarn. I know...that's a lot of stash and I have no idea how it happened!! Lol.

Anyway...back to my lovely baby Tah Dahs!!
Here is the lovely pale yellow popcorn stitch Baby Blanket. It measures approximately 28" X 28" and  all the ends are woven in...

This little thing is so light weight and soft and snuggly, I think it will probably end up being one of my daughters faves!

Next we have the long awaited reveal of the finished super soft, super chunky, Baby Blanket Ripple...

BI like the way this turned out...I still have to finish weaving in all the ends. They are really fat so I bought a yarn threader so it will be easy to get the yarn in the eye of the needle...

I really like this one because it has pink in it and it is cushiony...perfect for putting on the floor for baby to lay on.

New Yarn and New Projects!

I have been so busy! Here is some of my new yarn for some new projects...

First up...Red Heart Buttercup Yarn for a baby Cocoon and Hat

Next up...Stitch Nation Bamboo Ewe in Mercury for the Sidewalk Shawl

I have lots more new yarn just not enough time to photograph! Now..New Projects I've been working on.

First up...A new Ripple Baby Blanket made with Bernat Baby Blanket Yarn.  This is a wonderful soft and thick yarn. It's almost cushiony it's so thick. I ran out of the yellow and white so I have to get some more to finish. I am using my own Ripple pattern for this one.

Here is a close up so you can see the wonderful texture and thickness to this yarn!

My next project is a beautiful One Skein Summer Shawl using Caron One Pound yarn in Soft Sage. The pics don't do justice to this color. I love the pattern of this shawl. Very easy and luscious laciness!

Close up of the lacy stitch pattern...

Now I have a Tah Dah! I finished my Amazing Cowl in Ruby...

I love the Lion Brand Amazing Yarn and the easy pattern using single crochet in the back loops makes nice ridges so it looks Knitted!

I'm not done yet.. I know... I shouldn't wait so long to post. It makes for a long and boring blog..so sorry. I will try to post more often.

Anyway... last but not least I have finally figured out what to do with my Granny a Day Cal Squares...

I added 3-rows of white...

...it makes it a bigger square! So I am going to finish 24 of them with the white and make an afghan! I think it will look lovely. I just need to add the white to 4 more squares and I can figure out the layout for it and start joining them. What do yo think? Do you like it with white?

That's all for today!

Happy Crocheting everyone!
