Summer Shawl Finished and New Baby Popcorn Started

Tah Dah! I finished my Summer Shawl...this worked up so fast and is so pretty...

Here is a close up shot of the stitch...

Moving on to crochet for my first grand baby that is on its way... This is Lion Brand Baby Soft yarn and it is a dream to work with. I am using an F crochet hook and the yarn is so fine and delicate. It is Sport Weight in Pastel Yellow. We still don't know if its a boy or girl and I just can't wait that long to start crocheting for him/her.

Here is a close up of the popcorn stitch...it is very easy and works up fast.
More projects coming soon...

Thank you all for your kind comments on all of my projects. I do appreciate them so much. They keep me motivated to continue crocheting, taking pics and blogging. Hugs to you all!!

Happy Crocheting!

A Square a Day in May #10

A Square a Day in May #10, originally uploaded by EMCphotos.

Oops! I got confused and posted my 11th square this morning. Sorry for any confusion. :) This one is my favorite so far. I will be making this one again. I loved the circle in the middle and am going to make potholders from it! It was a fun one to make and I got lucky on my color selection and it came out pretty good. It reminds me of the Mandala's I've seen on flickr!

My tenth square for the Square a Day crochet a long from Hooked On Handmade.

Crochet Grannys

Grannys1, originally uploaded by EMCphotos.

I'm not sure what these little squares will grow up to be...maybe a cushion/pillow, maybe an afghan, maybe a stack of squares that will be in my crochet bag along with the african flowers, japanese flowers, hexagons, etc. Who knows?? Who Cares?? They were just so fun to make and take a photo of that I am completely satisfied wherever they end up...
