What is the difference...Puff, Bobble, Popcorn stitches??!!

I don't know about you but sometimes I get confused between the popcorn, puff, and bobble stitches. What is the difference? Do you know?

I did a little research and this is what I found.

Popcorn Stitch by Lion Brand:

Popcorn St (multiple of 3 sts)
Foundation Row: Work 2 dc in 3rd ch from hook, *sk 2 ch, (sc, 2 dc) in next ch; rep from * across,
ending with sk 2 ch, 1 sc in last ch.
Row 1: Ch 2, turn. Work 2 dc in first sc, *sk 2 dc, (sc, 2 dc) in next sc; rep from * across, ending with
1 sc in top of turning ch.  Rep Row 1 for Popcorn st.

Puff: Puff stitch—Yarn over, insert hook in indicated stitch and draw up a loop(3 loops on hook), [yarn over, insert hook in same stitch and draw up a loop] 3
times (9 loops on hook), yarn over and draw through first 8 loops on hook, yarn
over and draw through remaining 2 loops on hook.

Bobble stitches are worked from the “wrong side” – meaning they pop out away from you as you work. They are worked much like a dc dec, but all into the same stitch. To dc5tog, work 5 dc all into the same stitch, leaving the last loop unworked on the hook each time. When you’ve got 6 loops on the hook, yarn over and pull through all 6 sts. Work tightly here, and as soon as you make the next (sc) st, the bobble should pop right out on the other side of your work!

Summer Shawl Finished and New Baby Popcorn Started

Tah Dah! I finished my Summer Shawl...this worked up so fast and is so pretty...

Here is a close up shot of the stitch...

Moving on to crochet for my first grand baby that is on its way... This is Lion Brand Baby Soft yarn and it is a dream to work with. I am using an F crochet hook and the yarn is so fine and delicate. It is Sport Weight in Pastel Yellow. We still don't know if its a boy or girl and I just can't wait that long to start crocheting for him/her.

Here is a close up of the popcorn stitch...it is very easy and works up fast.
More projects coming soon...

Thank you all for your kind comments on all of my projects. I do appreciate them so much. They keep me motivated to continue crocheting, taking pics and blogging. Hugs to you all!!

Happy Crocheting!
