Vogue Knitting/Crochet Issue Coming Soon...

I cannot wait until May 1, 2013 so I can buy a copy of this magnificent Vogue Knitting/Crochet Issue! Last year's Fall issue was fantastic and this year promises to be just as good if not better, (I know...how can it be any better?)

Anyway, here is the cover for the new magazine and I found a few sneak peaks to share with you...



Ravelry already has this lovely Diamond Lace Bag is so cute and it's made from 1" plastic rings covered in single crochet stitches! So cute and I love the "ring" handles to match.

I adore this sweet little sweater that is crocheted in one piece from the neck down.  It has dolman sleeves and uses a traditional pineapple stitch and pretty picot edging.

The issue has everything from jewelry to dresses to cover-ups for summer.

I don't want to spoil it for you so just know that once again Vogue has put together some great crochet fashion for this spring and summer.

Vogue Knitting/Crochet Videos!

While I was surfing my Twitter account, I ran across the designer Robyn Chachula's blog at crochet by faye While I was reading her posts she had a video describing her design that appeared in the Vogue Knitting Crochet Edition Wow! What can I say, Vogue does everything classy. They have made these youtube videos that show's up close details and a description of some of the projects in the Crochet Edition magazine. Just watch this one:



Doesn't it just make you want to make this gorgeous shawl even more than the still shots? I was so impressed and I thought they were very helpful. I hope you enjoy them and have a great weekend!

Which Crochet Magazine is Your Favorite?

Hello all my blogger friends!

Today I added a "Poll" to my sidebar to find out which crochet magazine is your favorite. Please check the one you like best and vote.

Doing a poll is a great way to find out what other crocheters are doing and what you all think is the best magazines, products, etc.. I plan on doing several more Polls so check back often.

There aren't a lot of crochet magazines to choose from but tons of knitting magazines. I wonder why that is? Anyway, these four are the ones that I have found:

Interweave Crochet...

Interweave Crochet magazine is not for the beginner crocheter. It has some beautiful patterns, mostly garments, that are for the more advanced crocheter. I love looking at the projects but I have never attempted any of the intermediate patterns. Maybe someday...

Defining Crochet or just "Crochet!...

Crochet! magazines is a perfect middle of the road magazine, it has a great mix of easy patterns for beginners and more advanced patterns for those of us who like a good challenge!

Crochet Today!...

Crochet Today is great for the beginner with some challenging patterns but not very often. It usually promotes Red Heart yarn products so they are always easy to fine.

Crochet World...

Crochet world is for the new crocheter. It seems to have some very old fashioned patterns and I rarely see anything I would like to make. It has doilies and some downright ugly items in it. Not one of my faves, I feel like I wasted my money on this one. What do you think?
